I went to my fourth AnimeNEXT anime convention that was held this past weekend from June 7-9, 2019 in Atlantic City, NJ. At this point people have pretty much made up their mind as to whether or not they like the new-ish location of the convention in Atlantic City (as opposed to its previous location in Somerset, NJ). Some people like the beach-side location while others continue to stay away from the casino city like the plague. Either way, AnimeNEXT continues to offer something for everyone as they offer a wide range of guests, panels, and events.

AnimeNEXT 2018 Convention Report

The AnimeNEXT 2018 anime convention, which was held this past weekend from June 8-10, 2018, is now in its third year at its current Atlantic City, New Jersey home.  AnimeNEXT has had a somewhat rocky but decent first two years in its new location but things seem to be looking up in its third year.  This year I only attended AnimeNEXT for one day on Saturday but based on the images that I saw on social media about the pre-registration lines on Thursday and Friday, it seems to be a pretty good year in terms of attendance.

The 2017 edition of the AnimeNEXT anime convention was held this past weekend from June 9-11, 2017.  This is the second year that AnimeNEXT has been held at the Atlantic City, NJ location (and my second AnimeNEXT as well).  It was certainly a beautiful weekend for the convention, and I certainly look forward to coming back again in the future.

AnimeNEXT 2016 Convention Report

The AnimeNEXT anime convention took place at its new home in Atlantic City, NJ this past weekend from June 10-12, 2016.  Previously held in Somerset, NJ, AnimeNEXT feels right at home in the larger space that it occupies in the Atlantic City Convention Center.  The location offers a number of places where con-goers and cosplayers can hang out at and take photos which includes the beach, boardwalk, and hidden parks and locales.  The new location should allow AnimeNEXT to continue to grow and thrive after having outgrown the Garden State Exhibit Center.
